SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hoping for a Child

Once upon a time, there was a cottage in a glade where a peasant couple lived a quiet, but melancholy life. Every day, they hoped for a child to brighten their world, but every night brought them disappointment.

This is the first of a series of images depicting the story of Rapunzel collected by the Brothers Grimm, though I'm giving it my own personal twist.
