| 11 Jan 2003 | Nashina 'Sheena' Ebrahim | Ahh.. just a couple more comments to add.. and this is just a stab in the dark too..
The sunset, I think would represent death, and in the Egyptian belief, the dead are buried in the west because it is believed they have to pass judgement before they can reach the afterlife and be reborn.
And I think that tree would simply represent life, possibly and rebirth/reincarnation? hmm, just a guess.
The wings however have me stumped, hehe...
| 21 Aug 2004 | Renee M. Landkamer | Wings may be the one obvious Scorpio element in the picture. The Eagle is one of the symbols for the sign. | |
| 28 Jan 2005 | Anne | Im not a Scorpio but i love everything about this pic.FANTASTIC! | |
| 23 Jan 2006 | Sophie Jarrell | The bleeding wrists represent jesus christ....so martyrish tendancies. Perhaps as a nod to the fact that we scorpios tend to be ultra passionate in our believes and somewhat self distructive.
The lotus blossom and the position remind me of symbols for enlightment in budhism, which would be a nod to the scorpios spiritual side.
I don't know about the wings...the eagle thing would make sense though, I also like the idea of death and life represented by the sun and tree.
There's the symbol for ra, atop a moon, So the moon and the sun, life and death again?
| 4 Feb 2006 | the odd duck in the hatch | One thing i noticed for a symbol that i didn't read in the above comments was the triangle in the back, 3 sides, past, present, future... Birth/rebirth, life, and death. Just a thought. | |
| 11 May 2006 | bre | You really packed all of your feelings into this magnificent self expression piece, well done *sighs in awe, and wishes i could do this well* | |
| 10 Jul 2006 | Zaknafian | As a scorpio i love the traditional scorpion but this picture is awsome (love the egyption touch) | |
| 19 Aug 2006 | 'piixy' | I think that your amazing, youve got everyone thinking. Everyones so caught in trying to figyre out what this art means. You have a real gift. It looks as if youve added alot of thought into this one. I personally dont really understand scorpios and this pic has just confused me even more. Other then that, i love your work. Every one of them =) | |
| 21 Aug 2006 | High Elf | I can tell you, what I do see. The eye and the pyramid are from Egypt mythology. Second the angle wigs and the man is from India's story with the wounds of Christ. The blood are the sins of man that are forgiven. The moon and the flower I'm not so shore. | |
