SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sailing adventurers

This picture is a real old one. It's one of my first attempts to work with colour. As you can see, I'm not that good with colours... It's heavily inspired by my fascination of viking culture and the mystery of being out in the seas, you wouldn't have guessed that, wouldn't you? :)

The waves are so crisp, and as Erica commented, I too can almost hear them crashing I love the feeling radiating from this...it's enchanting. My only suggestion would be to get a little more brave with the color, be bold! Don't be afraid to be dramatic, you may surprise even yourself with the results

6 Jun 2003	Sofia Esperança	Loading... But you are good with color! The ocean is great, that foam makes it look so real! And you managed to make the nose of the ship look golden using just shades of yellow and orange (not gold paint), that sure isn't easy to achieve.
