SciFi and Fantasy Art: L5R - Balance (Kimura Daikuan)

This bushi of the Crane Clan has lived a turbulent and tragic life. Nonetheless, his devotion to the Code of Bushido and his sense of duty to his lord overwhelm his grief and keep him balanced. I must apologize for the proportions on his hands. I just wasn't paying attention. By the time I noticed that his right hand was smaller than his left the picture was finished, and I wasn't about to erase the whole hand and start over. Maybe I'll eventually fix it in Photoshop.

27 Feb 2001	ArianFaol	Loading... Seriously, do not fix that hand, the drawing looks great. And it is possible for one hand to be bigger than the other from birth, or from excessive training. So if his left is his dominant hand, that would be quite possible. Love the asian (lofr) theeme.

12 Jan 2002	Oliver Booms	Loading... By all means, keep it like it is. I wouldn't really have noticed any difference in hand size without you mentioning it. I always found that too much fussing over a piece that is really finished as it is only spoils the final result.
27 Feb 2002	Shadow	Loading... Nah, there's nothing wrong with the hands, it's just an optical illusion created by the fact that you're viewing the whole palm of the left hand, and only the back of the hand of the right. An excellent picture, very nice.
