SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dagon Lady

I love samurai movies. Specially the ones by Kurosawa. When we think of Fantasy settings we see the whole world in a very european-like pseudo-medieval look. We forget there is such a big treause of myths and legends that would enrich our Fantasy settings in other cultures. Why not use it?

This picture is fantastic. I don't give a flyin whoo-ha about the anatomy, proportions, or anything. It's all about the feel. You've captured the style of old Japanese art in the stance and background. I've been trying this a little bit myself...but I think I still need work. I love the tassels on the belt. Mad power
