SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aaahhhh...

Those are probably your last words if you ever see a Dragon jumping like this towards you. I tend to not draw mythical beast, since they loose so much of their magic in the process of going from your head to the paper; but this one was born out of boredom and the unholy union of paper and napkin at lunchtime.

9 Apr 2000	Monna	Loading... i like your work here but especially like this one because of the lighting. I think what you wrote at the top about how mythical beasts lose their magic when they're put on paper is really true.
28 Aug 2002	Donna McCoy	Loading... I like the shading of light. Like old b/w movies where directors used light to draw the eye and create drama. However (you knew there might be one, eh?) try doing this with a simple background. If you're not used to doing them, you'll have to work up to it. A faded patern of colors is even a good start. But do give it a try. P.S. I've often thought that the pictures that I draw will never compare to the pictures in my head. I wind up over explaining my art and wishing I didn't need to.
