These three 'animals' are really the youngest of the new family of Avalon. Two princes and the princess, triplets, children to Celestera Earedaen, adopted daughter of Robin Goodfellow. The story stretches far beyond that, but these three are Celeste's youngest children. The animal forms are the forms they use when within the mortal realm, appearing to them as great magical beasts...the Unicorn is Prince Caryyn, the last born of the three, born weak, ill, and blind...he later becomes a great and powerful prophet, if not a sad and ever alone young man...the Water Dragon in the back is the oldest of the three, Princess Itanya...cold-hearted and a very powerful mage, she was taught and brought up by her older brother Zelis, Second Prince of Avalon, Grand Mage and Black Priest...and the Gryphon with six wings would be Fhaelik, the middle born, a complete muscle-head jock, though fairly intelligent at times...he cares for his siblings, and especially young Caryyn, whom he always keeps a close eye on...
I reall like the unicorn. I cant draw horses like that even if i tried my very best..i'd prob kill like billions of erasers just *trying* to draw it..damn you! LoL! Lindsey 'Hobbit' M. And even if you aren't -good- at unicorns, you can still -do- them....besides..I've seen your frogs...KAWAII! *giggles* "
Gyphon!!! There's a gryphon!! I love you forever! Just draw more gryphon...PLEASE!! Lindsey 'Hobbit' M. Shaffer replies: "Hmm...more gryphons....check...*whips out the pencils and pens*"
WHAT!?!?! No comment about the dragon, people!?!?! Sheesh. Well the whole piccy is great. The unicorn looks very well drawn, so does the gryphon. But I LOVE the dragon. Wow, this is stunning. All three of the characters are amazing and the descriptions above compliment them further! I really love it! Lindsey 'Hobbit' M. Shaffer replies: "I try as best as possible, to give a descriptive explantion for my drawings without being to terribly overblown and winded...frankly, I'm always writing more than I'm drawing...but people don't -have- to read my story snippets. It's up to the viewers if they want to know what the meaning of the image is. I'm very glad you like it though. Reminds me that I'm not wasting my breath."
Oh yeah! and btw, the dragon and the gryphon remind me of Celes and Windam from Magic Knights Rayearth...ever seen it? Lindsey 'Hobbit' M. Shaffer replies: "Actually I have seen a little Rayearth....and they do look similar...I never realized that...~groans~ My quest for originality escapes me..."
I love this pic....but that unicorn! God he's so beautiful! and he looks so real! I feel like I can actually reach out and touch his soft, flowing mane More unicorns please????? Lindsey 'Hobbit' M. Shaffer replies: "First time I ever drew a horse I deemed remotely decent."
I dunno about unicorns but horses don't have split hooves... other thenthat i rather like it. The gryphon is wonderful. I like him,and the dr agon. I think i like her the most. Yay, nice pic.
I really agree with all the compliments I am told I can draw like that but I tend to disagree. I think I lost some of my touch when I had to work over the past few summers and became addicted to Fantasy Novels. I was wondering what those markings on their chests are? Overall Great Work and don't become a slacker like me and lose your touch, you never know when someone sees your old pics and asks you to draw something for them. *wink*
