SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Egg

Created using The Gimp. (I highly recommend it.) Some of the swirls are from vastly manipulated photos of incense smoke. The others were 'hand-drawn' with my trusty mouse. Um. I am pleased by it, because I am slowly learning to use computer programs to create. The most important thing about this egg is: What is it? I mean, I HIGHLY doubt that a chicken would come out of an egg like this. If anyone can guess what I think it is, they win a prize. So far friends of mine have already guessed that it's a fairy, dryad, dragon, or biku egg. What do you think?

5 Nov 2004	The Original Snowflame	Loading... Lemme reconsider. It looks like... It looks like a little planet you could escape to when you want to be alone; just sit and either throw a fit or cry - or just to sit. Hmm..lol. I wish it were.

5 Nov 2004	The Original Snowflame	Loading... Hmmmmm...can I take a guess? I'm thinking it's a dragon egg. Not any normal dragon, though. Some kind of new breeed of dragon? Hehe.
3 Feb 2005	E. Torrens	Loading... What about a phoenix? The orangey swirl looks like a flame. Or it could be a world egg. In a myth of some people (I forget now) the word came out of an egg. Anyway, it's very unusual and original and the darkness works great.
16 Dec 2005	Anonymous	Loading... The orange in the center does deffinately look like a flame. The gases can also represent the gas and flame structure of some versions of phoenix's. I honestly think it is the first stages of a phoenix. Please do more like this!
