SciFi and Fantasy Art: Baby Dragon's Friend, OR Quiet Reflection 2

This is one of my new favorites. I think this is bloody adorable. I made him in the faculty lounge at the school where my Sw.H. teaches. THe little dragon is sitting on a polymer clay lily pad, placed on a mirror. he has a coating of several layers of clear nail polish. All of the surrounding flora are polymer clay, as well as the butterfly on his nose. He's one of my favorite pieces so far. The ruler behind him shopws inches, and the coin in the picture is an American nickel. The entire piece isn't more than 4 inches long.

11 Sep 2003	Devon M. Johnstone	Loading... Hee hee, it's adorable! Have you ever tried any polymer clay glazes, like Sculpey glaze? I think it's actually a bit thicker than nail polish, but I use it on eyes and anything else I want to make look wet. The mirror's a great touch, as well.

27 Jun 2004	Leanne	Loading... awwww its soo cute, have you ever used polymer clay glaze its easier than nail varnish and it might last longer bad thing is i spilt mine on my new trousers and theres a permanent stain! :-( if it spills you have to wash within an hour or its permanent, Fimo glaze might work better than the sculpey glaze. I really like your work I make dragons too but mine never do anything lol yours are interesting.
