SciFi and Fantasy Art: Autum FairyAn Autum fairy. Originally destined to be a night fairy but I found that the purple and black watercolours had dried up. This is an odd picture for me for two main reasons. 1. It' s set in Autum, I've never actually seen an Autum and I don't really like yellows. 2. It's of a fairy. I don't do fairies. This will sound hypocrytical, but I don't like fairies or fairy based pictures that much. | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 23 Mar 2006 | Jessica E. Jeffries | The arms and legs are really scrawny, especially the arms, there's no shape to them-that's my only complaint. The color scheme nice (even though I could do with those colors [hehe]). Don't mind me, really, I just like to ramble. Shelz Keast replies: "Well scrawny arms and such is kinda my style of drawing. Every one I know says the same sorta thing." | |
| 7 Apr 2006 | Jessica E. Jeffries | Yeah, well, everyone does their own thing. Myself, I am not exactly a realistic drawer. I try to border between realism and anime-ish stuff because, yeah I'm okay at both...I just kinda wanna do my own thing. I don't know about anybody else, but when I look at my stuff, I can tell it's mine. Hehe...I talk to much sometimes...Anyway, I have some new drawings. Do me a fav and look. Please. (Maybe I should be more open to scrawny arms if I'm gonna admire your work, huh? LOL) Shelz Keast replies: "I agree, poeple should try to do their own things rather than directly imitating others. It's good that you can distiguish your won work. As for waffling on, don't worry! As you have bothered to comment on my page I'll repay the bother and comment on yours and any one elses who comments.Did I waffle on?" | |
| 8 Apr 2006 | Jessica E. Jeffries | You're as generous as me then 'cause that's what I do. But ya know what, I have this one pic that I just finished today that I want to show off really bad and I have a pending ticket at the moment and it'll be forever before I can put it on here. It's really cool except it's full of clocks. Maybe that's me expressing the way I feel about my upcoming graduation and all...I guess time's getting away from me. LOL! Hehe, now I'm rambling. Shelz Keast replies: "How did I guess it would be your comment again? Everything can come in good time, well at least thats what I seem to be continusly (spelling?) telling at least some of my friends. Clocks sounds intersing, like Dali's melting ones? Anyway I'll have a clock featureing in a couple of tickets (too lazy to write a description at the moment) As always good to hear from you. " | |
| 10 Apr 2006 | Jessica E. Jeffries | Actually, in my new drawing the background is the face of a large clock and in the center is like an angel or something and she's kinda balled up with a the silver cross pendant on her necklace in her hand like she's praying or something, don't really know (i just kinda drew it), and there are like five other clocks strown around about her and they all have different times on 'em. I really liked how it turned out 'cause I did the girl (angel or whatever) a little different than a normally do and I colored it with colored pencils. It looks so cool! Maybe I should e-mail ya a copy or something...I think it puts my other stuff to shame. Tehe...that's the way I feel about all my new stuff...Anyway, I'll shut-up for now. Ta ta... Shelz Keast replies: "Coincidences compound one another. My clock pic has an angel with a large clock in the background. This isn't the first time I've heard of such conincidence. I found another pic somewhere in Elfwood that was like a pic i was going to do but never got around to it. New should be better than old. Anyway over and out!" | |
| 17 May 2006 | Wolf | Damn Shelz! This is good. It doesn't matter if you draw the arms or legs scrawny coz it suits. Besides thats your style of drawing XD hmm must get my water color skills back somehow....**strokes chin** | |
| 22 Sep 2006 | Ilena L. Gecan | Hahaha. I don't draw fairies either, they just appear out of my pen somehow. It's something about the wings. You draw the wings, then they look mighty silly all by themselves and you need something to attach them to.... Shelz Keast replies: "Wings are so much fun to draw, aren't they? " | |
| 14 Mar 2007 | Maxime (Frey) Goffeau | Ive actually never seen autumn in my life.. yet I base most of my imagination on it. Shelz Keast replies: "I haven't seen Autum either, I mostly get summer (holidays are taken to stay in the hemisphere with summer)." | |
| 20 Jun 2007 | Toby | I am from the hills of N.Carolina. I have seen many Autumns. You did good. A fairy should never be bulky. You did good. All in all, a nice fairy boy picture. Shelz Keast replies: "Thank you for such a kind comment." | |
| 12 Jul 2007 | Bella | You've never seen autumn?! that's terrible! autumn is the most beautiful part of the whole year! but this is still really lovely artwork... and a boy fairy for a change lol changes are always good! Shelz Keast replies: "The trees where I live don't change colour for Autumm, and I don't go on holidays at that time of year.Yup, it's a boy. I did this a while ago so I've forgotten what reason (if any) I chose a boy." | |
| 25 Mar 2008 | Sam Adams | I like it! Especially the entwined border, very clever! | |
