| 17 May 2006 | Wolf | I love how it has no eyes. I want to draw like that XD This creature is adorable (to my tastes mind you I have a very unusual taste =___= I wish I had one as a pet. It's not poisonous or anything like that is it? o_0 | |
| 23 Nov 2006 | Cristina Marsi | Excellent pencil work and great imagination Shelz Keast replies: "Why thank you. I love to use pencils." | |
| 27 Dec 2006 | Natalie Hallam | What a unique creature! The different textures used look great, as does your tonal work. Nice piece. Shelz Keast replies: "Thank you very much!" | |
| 28 Dec 2006 | Faery Dale | Ooooo! i want it as a pet! it is beautiful. i love black and white pics. you are good. that's all i have to say Shelz Keast replies: "I want her as pet too." | |
| 20 Dec 2007 | Marija vanBeethoven | Unfortunately for me the only visual i get when looking at this drawing is my head being jammed into its long rubbery throat. It does remind me somewhat of a cross between the Hydra, Medusa and a dragon. But hey, ur love of pencils definitely shows itself off in this piece. Pencil drawings (as well as pen) are my favourites to look at cause u can see all the 'magic' lines that go behind the work to the final product. AH, another good result. S. Keast it would be gr8 if u could do more dragons!!!!!!!! Shelz Keast replies: "Even I'm not sure what Evo is based on. The basic idea was "I wonder what will hapen if I put as many monster parts on one creature and then try and make it cute".There will be more dragons in future, but I try to stay away from the two traditional styles (oriental and western). I currently have another Microdragon in the works to go with "Fencepost preening"." | |
| 27 Jan 2008 | Thomas Berndhäuser | Whatever Evolution had for a drink that evening - make it two of that for me, will you? After that i might be able to appreciate the specific cuddlyness of this creature. Until then, i hope you are not disappointed to hear that i´m quite satisfied with watching this realy fascinating picture instead of running into this whateveritmaybe... Shelz Keast replies: "He had some of Valhalla’s finest ale. He wanted to make Evo to show the other gods that he too could be taken seriously. Instead she turned out easy going and friendly (It’s not her fault she’s covered in spines and other monstrous parts)." | |
| 3 Feb 2008 | Jake Dillon Blankman | maybe that would keep the neighbors dog out of the trash can at night!! lol, it is an awesome pic. Shelz Keast replies: "Probably not a good gaurd dog. Evo’s far too nice a creature." | |
| 19 Mar 2008 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | ...ewwww... how scary...!!! very well shaded... nice!!! Shelz Keast replies: "She’s also meant to be cute, but not every one seems to get that." | |
| 24 Mar 2008 | Jeroen ChristianCreature Vercruysse | whattte bloody hell hahahah it sounds awsome but it do is 0.02 in the night so beauthifuly drawn truey Shelz Keast replies: "It wasn’t drawn at 2 a.m. if that’s what you’re talking about. At that time I’m asleep- few exceptions (like traveling on a plane)" | |
| 11 Apr 2008 | Tiffany lishay manis | omg!!that is wild looking!! i love it!! what made u come up with that idea? Shelz Keast replies: "Meh, no idea really. I just decided one day to draw a monster with as much ’monsterous’ stuff as possible then see if it could be mad cute (without making it into a chibi)" | |
