| 13 Dec 2007 | John R Farley Jr | First of all, congratulations on getting an illustration JOB as an artist! May you have many more. Very colorful, she looks cute and happy. Shelz Keast replies: "Thank you. When I first got it I felt like I'd just had half a pound of sugar (sherbert making in science can be a whole lot of sugary fun). I'm vaugely thinking about taking commisions next year, I'll have to see how hectic uni-life is." | |
| 20 Dec 2007 | Dave Cripps | Was this all done in Illustrator? Must have chewed up the memory if it did. The example pics included with the programme look great but really slow you down. Those fishies are almost luminous Shelz Keast replies: "No, it was done in Macromedia Flash. Even though it's desined as an animation program it's great for vector art. I've never used Illustrator, so don't know what it's like. Flash is easy on the memory (otherwise my old computor couldn't have coped). All the fishes are resident in Australia's northern waters or in the Great Barrier Reef. As reference photos were used, that's probably why the look so pretty." | |
