SciFi and Fantasy Art: One eyed jack

This was an early attempt at acrylic painting. While it's not too bad, I have a lot of room for improvement. Though I admit, I'm pretty impressed with how most of the armour came out. This was 'suposed to be an entry into an online competition called Monthly Mecha Fighting Tournament. I really didn't feel like writng all of the bull$#!+ stats and silly stories so I didn't enter it. It's mostly ifluenced by evangallion and guyver with dash of macross II. The idea behind it is that it was a prototype light infantry jack. This was to be the final prototype before the main line was greenlighted. So it's creator decided to make this one special. So he made it look like the beast that haunted his dreams as if to exorcise himself of his demons.

8 Jan 2005	Joshua R. Pinkas	Loading... You know in general, this is a pretty slick design. I like it a lot, especially the color scheme. While you could be better with acrylics I believe you got a nice picture out of it anyhow. Now if this were my design... Lose the ball things near his hips, give an extra section to his legs, so they are kind of mantis like, make it a bit more insect like in general, and you have one slick biologically bred amour, I assume your version isn't a bio tech piece, but it could pass as one. I'd draw it up in nice jet black pen and then give it a slick Photoshop 'paint job' that would be awesome. But yours is already awesome. Perhaps I should bookmark you; I see a lot of really badass pieced in the future.
