| 16 Aug 2002 | nightflower | Legendary Bard is an understatment...many books have Talisen as Merlin's mentor | |
| 17 Oct 2002 | Daniel | Actually he was British, not Gaelic. The most famous bard in Gaelic legend was Amergin, whose magic outdid that of the gods themselves. | |
| 8 Jan 2003 | Jennie Lynn Brass, A.K.A Foxy | <grins at all the comments> Interesting how words can become improperly interchanged. Daniel is right, Taliesin is not Gaelic--he is Celtic, specifically due to his legend being Welsh. If he were Gaelic he would need to be Scottish, Irish, or Mannish <from the Isle of Man>. But, what is even more intriguing is that Amergin can only marginally considered Gaelic since he is actually from Iberia. Granted, he is the leader of the imigration of the Milesians to Ireland <mythically known as Ierne>. He would technically be the beginning of what is considered true Gaels. Mythology is so intertwined! It seems you could learn something new everyday and still not even scratch the surface! | |
