SciFi and Fantasy Art: Unicorn

A while ago I realized that fantasy pictures would have to involve people on horseback at some point so I made a horse - and stuck a horn on =) - wow instant unicorn!

Hi. I really like it, speciality the shadows, or what I should call them? Nice work.

A good picture, but to comments above: the unicorn is NOT an animal of fantasy! The horned horse is! Unicorns are not related to horses in any way and they are wild animals so you can't say they have to, or don't have to be pure and innocent. Innocence is an abstract, unexisting concept invented by humans.

WHAAAAAT ??? Argh I hate people like that - a unicorn is NOT a horse with a horn !! A unicorn is originally an equine creature with lion-tail and goat beard ! You don't get a unicorn just like that ! Did you know by the way that unicorns were at first goats with a wooden horn on them ?

So to avoid that kind of comment again, I sugest you change your description !

wow some people are dicks..who cares...art is art it comes from within the person. so stop ur stupid insults and move on...

all i have to say is that i like the pictures very much. and the funny thing about art is that you are saying that the drawing dose not look real..w.ell since when were unicorns real? (DUH!)

I love the waterlike background. And the instant-unicorn is great too! Me love the shading. Donīt worry about the s*****s who donīt understand that itīs only art! I drew a BLACK unicorn once. U canīt believe all the comments I recived...

I love your unicorn. It is just calmly standing in water, and it looks like it is casting a spell or something out of its horn. That is super cool in my book.

Amazing, I’ve been riding and racing horses for 6 years. And you really got the shape right. It’s got the quarter horse build... But to make it more realistic (even if it is a fantasy site) Some tail would be nice (even on bobbed tails you can still see the base) and the mane should be a little on both sides because thats normaly how it grows. But this is really amazing!
