SciFi and Fantasy Art: Zap That Baddy!

Okay, my previous attempt to color this picture was pitiful. From now on, I only color inked images. So anyways, this is J'hara, an Elven mage, preparing to toast some baddie with your average run-of-the-mill fireball. Need I say more? Done in pencil and edited in Paint Shop Pro.

It's good but I've looked through your work, and I know you have and can do better

I like the effect here, that fireball is gonna do serious damage and I love her cape the way it sweeps out like that, well done! 2

I like the cape too, it looks like its sapient and won't let anyone through to hurt her. Good job, her right leg is oddly curved, bbut other than that I really like it

i see a bit of marvel comic taste coming through here! I positively love the hands, and coming from a fellow artist, they are very difficult. Great job, but don't be afriad to get away from the cartoon style. Sorry I should not tell you what style to do. I love the hair and the face is the perfect expression.

:-) Nicholas Sinclair Post replies: "Yeah, this peice hearkens back to my former days of fanboydom, heavily influenced by the comic book industry. The influence is still noticeable to this day, even though I ditched the comic book scene years ago. Go figure."

Two words; Collateral Damage. Fire, in a forest, doubleplusungood. Ice lance, stone spears shooting up out of the ground, eagle dropping specially bred assault tortoise, anything but that. Unless she has some very powerful and very forgiving friends, this lass is on course for at least exile if not a much gothier skin tone.

:-) Nicholas Sinclair Post replies: "Bah. Collateral damage... What do the mighty care of such trivial nuances? Who is to say collateral damage is not desired? "I'm sorry for razing your 'mighty' tower to the ground while incinerating you, I'll try to be more careful in the future." Thanks for commenting 2"

I really don’t like it all that much. I mean, no offense, but I believe your other drawings are better. I just think her legs are kinda awkward. I mean, don’t spaz on me or anything, but it’s my opinion on it. I just enjoy your faeries much more.

:-) Nicholas Sinclair Post replies: "Duly noted. Thanks for the input!"
