| 24 Feb 2002 | Art | At last, another artist who knows that mermaids do not have knees. Thank you. Meeheehee, yeah, mermaids often look like they're just wearing a fish tail, I didn't think of it when I was drawing, it really never occured to me. | |
| 10 Apr 2002 | Brian Keith Cooke | Great design on the tail, and I love the gill slits on her neck. Nice touch. Gill slits??? They was just stripes, but I guess they could be gills. | |
| 27 Apr 2002 | JC | Oh bless you and your take on mermaids! I hope you help put a dent in the mermaid deficiency in the Woods, especially with your lovely renditions!! Her tail is simply elegant with those flowing translucent fins and webby tail fluke. The gills are a cool addion, and her finger webbing is detailed quite nicely. I can't wait to see what's in store for her and future mermaids!! Great work!!! I'm having trouble colouring her, I had done hours on it and had her head, chest and arms done only, but it gotted deleted *cries* it was my best cg ever too!!!!! | |
| 6 Sep 2002 | Stacey Rebekah Leech | Im going to agree with the previous comment. You've given her the look of Royalty. And as previously pointed out, mermaids do not have knees, you've acomplished her tail with perfection. Her upper torso is supurb, elegantly beautiful and gracedul. Her hair and facial features are yet again my favorite part. I would love to see her in colour. Great Piece! Again with the colour, Oh I'm so gonna give it another go!!! Thanks you for your lovely comments. | |
| 7 Sep 2002 | Trina Daniel | Eeep! I love it! Mermaids are my obsession! Her pose here is very natural and looks like she is indeed swimming. Shje looks thoughtful, maybe daydreaming, or perhaps heartbroken also. There is alot to be seen in her expression and stance and that's a talent to be admired. I love the water ripples! I think you should color this cuz I've seen some of your other pictures and think you could really do a great job making the scene fit her. But I love this simple sketch just as well!! So never take this one down! I think this sketch is getting too much attention to be taken down, I'm thinking maybe I'll get someone else to colour it, I've never done a collab before! | |
| 7 Sep 2002 | Jessica C. Wirsborg | Meza like this one ^^ it's nice and beautiful and pretty and wonderful and magnificant and all of the other nice words that are out there ^^ and she looks like a queen of the waters *nod, nod* and meza love the tail and the gills and the face and arms and the hands and the hair and all of it! ^^ he he Yay!!! She rules... stuff, y'know fish and junk.... -_-' | |
| 10 Sep 2002 | Matthew Aaron William Karrin | I really like this sketch. Now, have you ever read the DUNE chronicles? It's a really amazing sci-fi series, but that isn't the point of my mentioning it. In the series it has an idea for mermaid-like creatures on land. Something similar could be used for mermaids. I'd just tell you what's in there, but I like to try and have people read Dune. Heh. LOVE your artwork! Please put some more in soon. Damn you, now I have to read Dune!!! Damn your fan hunting! Oh well, I guess I'll go read now. | |
| 6 Jun 2003 | Marcus Pregent <marcus@act...com> | This is awesome. I love your work and would be very interested in learning if you do any commissioned work. Please come check out the site ( http://www.actionstudios.com/realms ) and read up on the game I'm creating. I'm looking for artists with skills as top notch as your own. The fact that you're a gamer as well, and Irish, is an added boon. | |
| 11 Jul 2003 | Rachael A. Riley | This is lovely. She looks very graceful. I'd maybe like to see the water ripples a little darker (I didn't notice until someone mentioned it in the comments and then looked closer). The fins out to the sides are really neat (I've got something similar). And just as a warning, I wouldn't read Dune unless you wanted to fall asleep drooling on yourself. *lol* I've tried. Watch the movie. It's less hideously dull. | |
