SciFi and Fantasy Art: The mask of the traitor

In the misty night I turn a corner, cursing the lady of luck for having to walk after the dark trough the street of this deprived city. Walking at a steady pace I almost bump into a small cloaked figure. Startled I reach for my beltknife, only stopping when I realize I am looking into the handsome face of an Elf. Slowly steadying my breathing I speak to him:' what is one of your fair folk doing walking in the dark in a city this dangerous? Allow me to guide you to a place of safety, good sir.' Almond shaped eyes regard me coolly as he speaks: 'Dangerous indeed' ,and his pleasant face turns in to an equally cool scowl. 'Dangerous and dark', he whispers as I notice he was holding a wickedly curved dagger all this time......
