I've been designing tattoos lately, and I just rather liked this one enough to put it on Elfwood. The scales took FOREVER!

Theres no definite way to distinguish what it means because it is such an old symbol

Me too I would like to think it could be both wiccan and Christian also.

I heard that the knot sybolise the harmony and Interconnectiveness of all creation, also I understand that the serpent smbolises time and its corruptable nature,
feeding upon itself, I've never seen the serpent combined with the knot.usualy I seen the serpent in a circular form, I like what you have , looks cool.......

In all actuality, the Pagans used the Triquetra to symbolize the Mother goddess in her three forms. However thee was an unbroken circle interwoven within the three crescents. The circle symbolizes the essential unity of the three things that are being symbolized by the crescents.

The Christians adopted the symbol and used it to symbolize the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost. As opposed to the Pagans, the Christians did not include the circle in their design.

In conclusion, the tattoo created above is more a Christian symbol. the snake interwoven into the design could represent the serpent from the garden of Eden.

this is a christian sign also because when christians were being persecuted, a fish is a symbol of being chistian and people would draw a fish and the other person would finish the picture with 2 other fishes. if the person drew the other 2 fish, it means that it would be safe to talk about thier relgion. the picture is similar to this
