SciFi and Fantasy Art: Garden Corner

The architecture here was originally supposed to be part of the moonlight scene, but with a quick wall and some experimentation with plants and lighting, out comes the corner of garden from Greece, or from Eddings' Tolnedra. It definitely needs a splash of color or a change in balance, but the experiment turned out fairly well....

I sometimes wonder about the lack of comments myself, but that makes the few I get more meaningful, I guess. Yes, the walls are flat -- when I said "quick wall" I meant it -- I didn't even bother to apply a texture -- just the colors. The rendering software is POV-Ray. I've tried others (Bryce, etc.) but the engineer/programmer in me just loves entering code by hand (and I'm too cheap to buy anything else).

Ooooh..... Beautiful pic. A little sterile if you ask me, but I think it's supposed ta be like that.. Also.... as mentioned earlier, why are there so few comments!! This pic is awesome!

One should always watch out for objects like this. One never knows where one will end up if one steps through...

Very, very nice picture. I like the bushes. Perhaps place it on a mountain top instead of the wall. The scenery is very inspiring (sorry for the english)

I think the pic is great. I think it would look cool with something inside the dome, though. Like your 'free for the taking' sword. Something like that.

The bushes do look good--very realistic. As for the opinions that the whole thing looks too "sterile," couldn't you just say it's "well-manicured" instead? ;-) I'd love to see you do more with this picture, though, just to see what could happen. Keep up the great work!

very nice! I'd love to have a back yard that looks like this!

Wow... I really like it. I think you should add some rosebushes and a fountain, though. That would really make it look like the gardens at the Imperial Palace in Tolnedra.
