SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sometimes Even Princesses Have to do Chores

More of Locke's Children....you see, when he had children, he decided that, since he was the leader of a powerful nation, he wasn't going to let their wealth and success go to their heads. So he made them do chores (besides, it cut down on costs for servants). Here's young Megg Serene and young Annamaria, making a bed. This picture was particularly trying for me. I'm not big with backgrounds or detailing, and i think i did particularly well on them in this case. And a note of the scene through the window...i had such a hard time desiding on something! I hope the mountains work....^_^ I just love this picture.

I can see why you're so proud of it, now, Skylie-dear. :> I love the shading work you've done on this one...the background's especially nice. I need to do a pencil work like this. *sniff* Quit making me jealous! :> 0.0 ME? Making YOU jealous?? The man with the wonderful computer colouring skills and spectacularly beautiful eyes? The man who drew skylie a record THREE times?? Impossible! *hugs rick*

I like this one alot! The mountains look great! I love the way you depicted how young they are in this one. And also how she's smoothing out the bed. I also like the humongoid stones in the background.

I think that this picture could have great potential. However the girls lack a princess air and the drawing is a bit sketchy. my style is sketchy, and they aren't supposed to have an air of a princess because their father is training them not to have one. Besides, do all princesses have to be all girly and wear tiaras and be prissy and stuff? Don't think so.

I enjoy the picture. Your imagination is absolute. The detail of the picture help's deliver the fantasy. Keep up the imagination.

i love the scene out the window... the mountains DO work. is that light spot in the middle supposed to be there? or is it the evil scanner striking again? Evil, evil, EVIL scanner. but my mom got a new one, so pictures are much better...Too bad I don't live at home anymore and can't use it, eh? ;_; Such is life.

You should put it in color.

I really like the detail in the wall and the little girls are adorable! I wish I could draw people!

Heheh, it's so cute. The details just came out beautiful. The girl on the left's head seems a little faint, though it's just as likely to be the scanner as anything... I think the scene through the windows is pretty neat, too. ^_^ Very nice image. Is that their bed, though, or just a bed for one? I can't decide if it's too large or too small, for one or for two!

:-) L.S. Engler replies: "Most likely for one. Probably not one of theirs. Being princesses, they probably each have their own elaborately decorated rooms out of every little girls' fantasy. While Locke may make them do chores, he spoils them just as much, too."

Matt told me about your site and I wanted to come and see your pictures. I think they look a lot like the stuff I did when I was in high school before I went to school for com art.

I really think your talented, I particularly like this picture because it's thoughtful.
