| 15 Jun 2004 | Brian L. Husted | She looks like an interesting character. I don’t know how much experience you have using Photoshop, I’m still learning myself. I’ve found that if you set the layer that you are coloring on to “Multiply” then when you can add color the drawing that is on the layer below will still show through. There is a pretty good tutorial in FARP that can explain it better than I can. | |

There are a lot of good tutorials out there, which I suggest reading through to get a feel for how PS works. It looks like you did not use multiple layers, which I strongly recommend. As with the pencil version of her, it's a great start and with a little more work, I think she could be wonderful. I have a little tutorial (I really should update them again..) I put together which may at least introduce you to some of the functionality of PS if you are interested: http://www.tutorials.shrub.com/ I also enjoy gift art/exchanges, so if you would like, if you send me the lineart version of her I would gladly color her as a gift (she does seem like such an interesting character!) | |
