This is for those mainly interested in the style of artwork I used in my card design. It is otherwise very uninteresting and clearly shows that it was my first attempt to try this pseudo wood block style. I'll leave it up for a while just to show people the evolution of the style from this, the first piece, to the Okamimoto husband/wife card, one of the last pieces I did in this style.
This image represents a pivotal moment in Tsumeryujinese history, when the god Tenmei fought Ryujin over the treatment of the kami of the world. Ryujin scarred Tenmei, but the swordsman then cut off Ryujin's talon, which fell into the ocean and became the land known as Tsumeryujin.
As with all the works I did in this style, this was done entirely in Painter4.

well if they weren't gods i'd say they were both about to turn each other into total hamburger - ouch - well i hope the kami were saved from abuse and i'm glad something good - that land - came of it - but still ouch ... ~
