SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hooray for corsets!

Okay. I've griped for a long time about how I can't color for a darn. So I finally went out and bought some nice markers to try and correct that problem once and for all. So for my first piece I decided to draw a subject that was utterly lacking in significant content, that way I'd not cry if I screwed it up. When in doubt, draw BOOBIES, I always say.

It came out a lot better than I had expected, and I have to say I like this piece a lot--I mean, hey, boobies--my only regret is that the variations of yellow I used for the hair, skin and Shel's blouse look the same after compressing and resizing the image. Le sigh.

Anyways, content wise, this is Bliss the mage and Shel Goldbraid, the thief. Standard adventuring fantasy stuff, they will be side characters in the Path's End books.

30 Aug 2002	Lisac3	Loading... Yes, hooray for corsets! Technically, I'd call what these ladies have bustiers, though, but it still provides the necessary breast support. My advice on the picture is to put some shadows beneath them, I say that to everyone.

Was never fond of markers (or ink for that matter...yes, I'm still doodling in my little sketch book, shut up), but I must say it's hard to argue with your opening argument for this piece. As for Prismacolor, they are, in my little white-boy world, 'Bom-Diggity', but quite expensive. They're just a bit too vivid for 'more realistic' shading like this, however. And well, as you said, l337 b00bs.
