You have considerable skill...especially when it comes to clothing. However, the arms and head appear too small for the body they are attached to...and something does not look quite right about the way the katana hangs at his side.

Yup yup. I'm happy with the shading, too! I know nothing about katanas, so unless they're supposed to curve outwards like that at the bottom, that might be what's looking funny. I agree that the head is a little small, but you already stated that you're working on it. I think the head looks a little feminine. Maybe you should try to make the chin less pointy, and the head itself more broad.

You're Right, the katana did come out a little awkward. I was trying to have it curve back and to the side slightly since katanas are curved weapons, which it does, but something about it just seems unaesthetic.
