SciFi and Fantasy Art: One-Wing Gryphon

Well, why did I called this pencil sketch 'One-Wing Gryphon'? First of all, this drawing took me more than a week to do! By the time I got this far, I didn't want to spend more time drawing the other wing. This sketch alone showed me that wings are by far T-H-E most annoying things in the universe to draw.

27 Jun 2000	satansdaughter	Loading... you do such wonderfully detailed work! i love his little ruff of fur/down and the neck, looks very spiffy. and the wing is just amazing, i can see though why you would be fed up with it! that would take ages and so much patience!
3 Sep 2000	Tansy Pye	Loading... Well the wing that is here is truly beautiful... I do draw feathered wings sometimes, but I prefer batlike wings for exactly that reason! You need a hell of alot of patience to do feathers. I also like this griffons neck and expression. So unusual, very graceful.

15 Nov 2000	Snow Dragon	Loading... I love the wing! The wings I draw are always (literally) two second scribble with no detail at all...as for the gryphon itself, it kind of looks a bit weird.
