SciFi and Fantasy Art: Typical Sea Serpent

This originally was just a pencil sketch. I liked it, so I coloured it with coloured pencils. However, I did a very poor colouring job and distorted the image to become this utter mess. I scanned the picture, and used Photoshop to smug all the colour to see how it would help. It looks like a painting now, which improves it a little bit. This would be considered my 2nd CG work. ('Alexis' is the 1.5th.)
