| 4 Aug 2005 | Tatiana M. Barfod | Hmmm... the neck looks a little long... but I don't know much about Succubi.. meaybe that's how they are? Nice work other than that. Amanda R. Melton replies: "Yeah, I've thought about redoing this one a bit, altering the shading to make things more proportionate. Thanks for commenting." | |
| 4 Aug 2005 | Rottingcerebrum | don;t listen to that @#$%#$&!...sry no bad language..or it wont let me post... but anyways...just ignore him/her..people like that are just jelous. no worries! Amanda R. Melton replies: "Aw, thanks for sticking up for me, and for the nice comment as well." | |
| 4 Aug 2005 | Anonymous | HAHAHAHAHA...... WTF.... that's awful... | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | Seliquist | aka anonymous hahaha actually i am an artist...unfortunately, i don't have a scanner otherwise i would love to take up your little challange. not only that, but unlike this person, i wouldn't publish every little piece of filth i create. also i never claimed to perfect...putting people down is one of my favorite things to do...maybe someday you'll understand. i'd tell you why, but that would go against everything i stand for...and on top of that, i find it quite funny for you to insult someone's intelligence with so many grammatical errors in your statement. so melissa....pull the racoon out from your vadge....HAHAHA...this picture is so damn funny looking! btw...you try being a cynic...its not easy. | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | Melissa | Ok for one thing people this artist said "constructive criticism" is allow and wanted which means that yes you can say what’s wrong with it but...there's no need for the put downs really "anonymous" are you that rude. Maybe you should actually put your name down but then you would be caught your just a coward or maybe you think you’re too good for that. Well let’s see some of your work hmm? Or is that you not an artist but just a critic. Typical you probably are just a critic. because I'm sure that Amanda put lot of effort and care into this picture and it shows hey were not all perfect like you seem to think you are but it really shows how little intelligence you have anonymous because you have to add those childish comments besides your constructive criticism anyways I just have one more thing to say to you and that is if you just going to keep on coming back here to insult her you have another thing coming to you because no one deserves that kind of crap. It takes a lot of guts to put your art up for all sorts of people to see and I think if you can even appreciate that she can do this then think about this she is actually asking people to judge her art work which she doesn’t really need anyone to do but she wants to know what people think because she wants to get better so now that I’ve said my peace I hope that that anonymous person actually has something to reflect on since I highly doubt that there going to apologize to Amanda since that would actually require them to have the balls to do it sorry for my language but I think its necessary. | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | Shelby Elledge | OMG, how can this picture have such bad comments? Its amazing! Way better than I could do. I love that sinister look coming from her. The neck seems a teensy-bit off, but we're all human. The head looks just fine, I love the coloring of the hair. Its so detailed. The simple background is awesome too. Great job, I love it! *hands you a wonderfully double-chocolate chip cookie* Amanda R. Melton replies: "Cookie!*munches*Thanks a bunch doll." | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | Anonymous | Rottingcerebrum is correct...Don't listent to the person that puts down awful pieces of crap like this.... This sucks...Call me what you want, but its still a horrible picture. Note to artist: The neck has muscles in it. Its not just a cylinder coming out from the top of the torso. Note to artist: Heads are not that big in comparison to the body. Note to artist: Stylization or not, its still a poor attempt at making something look human. Note to artist: Facial features are messed up....Need i continue? Its bad...Deal with it...And no...I'm not jelous of this. | |
| 6 Aug 2005 | Melissa | I must say I really don't understand why seliquist(anonymous) your such a different person on elfwood then on Yahoo Messenger maybe you could explain that one to me its almost like having to talk to two different people. Amanda R. Melton replies: "I just wanted to thank you for sticking up for me. Also, for putting up a good and levelheaded debate. I'm going to leave Seliquists comments up. I like for others to be able to see all views on my work. Figure it can give them more level ground to judge me accordingly. Again, thanks so much." | |
| 6 Aug 2005 | Melissa | so did I ever make a statement saying that I was perfect? You know I really don't care if you make a living out of insulting people but hey maybe just maybe you could try like anonymous to tell people what is wrong with the picture since I don't have the best knowledge when it comes to succubus I could not comment on it but since you think its so horrible then why don’t you tell the artist what is wrong with it? forth more please try and limit you time trying to insult me because yes I do care but if you don't like what I say please elaborate more on to me since I'm not really sure why you choose to verbally attack me with " pull the raccoon out from your vadge" because I must say its an usual way of insulting someone but really I'm not sure what to make of it. | |
| 16 Feb 2006 | Randi L. Racey | Not sure if you're still interested in getting comments on this pic or not...
It's already been mentioned how the neck is long and cylindrical, but to be more detail-oriented: the line of her throat tapers off OVER her shoulder and it would look better if the line over her shoulder intersected/ overlapped that of her throat (since this is from behind). I also think that the dip of her spine too deeply shaded. Otherwise, her face is GREAT and her hair has a whole lot of texture to it.
I had to laugh at Anon/Seliquist, because when it finally figures out what life's all about, the facts will hit hard. And I also have to contest Seliquist's claim to being an artist: any artist worth their salt has spent at least a FEW years of hard labor on the advancement of their talent and if they have the impudence and blatant disregard for others' feelings to post something so vulgar as destructive criticism then they are deplorable individuals who deserve to be written off with the same indifference that they have shown others. I pity them.
