| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 5 Aug 2005 | Anna Christine Riley | Very good, I really like the coloring. As far as constructive criticism goes, I think the hair that crosses onto the neck and shoulders could use some more highlights to make it look more complete. As is, it looks a little weird. Other than that it's fantastic. | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | Anonymous | WOOHOO vampires ROCK! I love this pic she looks all satisfied and sad at the same time. Her eyebrows are really cool in a weird way lol. i totally love this she looks so "real". ;D | |
| 5 Aug 2005 | mali | um, criticism. crap i have to look for something. I suppose her shoulders and neck mold together too well, like cankles or something. but I really love how she's just standing there, she looks like she's thinking "Um. i SO did not do that, um, yeah. be disstracted from the gore because I'm cute" | |
| 7 Aug 2005 | Raven | Wow, great picture! A quick lesson in mouth anatomy though for you and any person who wishes to draw vampires. Go stand in front of a mirror and bit your lower lip then let it slide out of your teeth the girl in the picture is. The first think you will notice is that the Canine and eye teeth (not sure on the name of those two is, the teeth directly beside your front teeth) immediately vanish behind the lips, particularly the canines, while the front teeth stay in contact. Leaving the one canine tooth haning out (or as I have seen many do, having the lips closed with both canine teeth hanging out) just simply cannot happen without the teeth being pointed forward in the mouth (literally straight out of your lips and then curved, like a spider's) or deeply deformed. The picture is gorgous overall so as my art teacher would say, "Now is the time to start practicing the details." | |
| 11 Aug 2005 | Jenna, with love | Being a Vampire lover myself, I can say very confidently that this is an incredible picture ^^ I love every bit of it, probably because I could never, ever do it. lol.
As well, I would like to point out that the faults in this picture (and there are very few, mind you) are hardly anything to scoff at. They don't even glare at all.
Also, for the teeth comment said by Raven; I would like to note that as I can see, her canine tooth is piercing her bottom lip (if I am mistaken, forgive me). Therefore the canine tooth would be visible because it is cathing the lip on itself while the other teeth slide. (Excuse me)
All in all it is a lovely picture and the only criticism I have is... well, none ^^
| 8 Oct 2005 | Megan A. Patton | Oh my... I absolutely adore her eyes. And her expression is just so priceless... I don't quite like the eyebrows, but that's only because they remind me of those old vampire movies where all of the vamps had freakish eyebrows. But don't get me wrong, that tiny detail does not diminish the genius of this piece whatsoever in my mind. It's simply one of my funny little quirks. | |
| 19 Oct 2005 | Balthazor | Hmm she kind of remains me about my best friend. Great pic, I love it! | |
| 15 Jun 2006 | Dessah | This is so amazing. I can't even possibly begin to point out any bad things. It's not the best thing I've ever seen...but it is so original, and her expression is so haunting, I'll never forget her face, even long after all the "perfect" works have escaped my memory. I'm so jealous. lol
PS. How do you get the color so smooth. I'm afraid to do anything other than plain ole' pencil.
| 2 Jan 2008 | Gwenivere Stephan | Whoa interesting! I love the eyebrows, they're awesome! I've always wondered why vampires don't bite their lips in half... Great pic, very cool | |
| 7 Mar 2008 | Anon. | Great work, girl! I think her face is amazing! As to what Coral said, I have to disagree about the eyes. A persons eyes are never the same shape/size, the difference is what makes a face look unique! I would imagine covering up sections while drawing would make you loose perspective to what you are doing... Anyway, great picture! | |
