SciFi and Fantasy Art: Library

I know it doesn't look like a terribly magical library except for the fact that the fellow reading a book has remarkable ears, but I couldn't resist putting this one up on the site because it's proof that if I really truly want to, I can manage backgrounds. If it makes it more 'magical,' imagine that he's researching spells...heh. (Yes, the guy in the painting is Silvean, whom you can find elsewhere in my gallery.) This was another 'grisaille' painting that started life as a very rough charcoal sketch, then was heavily overlaid with color in Painter Classic and Paint Shop Pro. If there's any interest in it, I could upload the original sketch, too.

The left wall looks a little off from a "square room", although it is pretty darn close. I LOVE the window and the books. Want to do the images for my webpage? Hee!

10 Aug 2001	Kenneth Young	Loading... I've always wanted my own library... one that looks like this would do me perfectly. Though I don't think I'm as pretty as that guy in the chair, oh well... I like the atmosphere here... maybe a little dust (soft light rays) would have set it off to perfection.
