SciFi and Fantasy Art: Abyss Needle

The Needle of the Abyss is a fearsome creature (It's one of my monsters, OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO BE FEARSOME</b>). It lurks in the lightless depths of the sea, where even the sahaugin fear to swim, devouring all those who come across it.

Though, with no discernable mouth, one wonders how it devours things...

Hmmm, methinks a quote from Victor Hugo is in order..."To be eaten alive is a horror. To be Drunken alive is inexpressable." or words to that effect.

Hmm hmm.... It shoots through the prey, rips open the gut, then sits in the lifeluids and *cough* inhales *cough* the nutrients through the bumps. Or it just travels through and catches chunks of flesh in them and draws the meat into to it's stomach.... Can you see how the scales look kinda upraised?

Wow. This piece sends chills all over... Are those spines where the scales aren't? It'd make sence, his name being Abyss Needle and all.

He's quite a looker. Really! But honestly, the way you work with pen is pretty remarkable. Not something I'll forget in the morning.... I look foreward to seeing the rest!

He doesn't eat... and nothing eats it. Furthurmore, when it dies, it mocks life again by exploding and killing all in a 10 mile radius!!! AAAHAHASHAHAHA! Awesome monster 1

It converts food into energy by casting a "Cone of Consumption 10" ", then it absorbs the energy. Cool picture.

This is very good picture, and I love the creativity. It looks as if it is a worm of some sort, and not be insulting or anything but I think I've seen it some place before. But you make it look very real and the detail is amazing, and I'm sorry but it does not scare me.

Hey, is this a new version of the abyss-needle?

I mean, I know you messed with the line colour, which is cool... really gives it that almost transclucent, phosphorescent look one associates with deep, deep sea fishes.
