SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Green Empress

'It has been centuries since I dwelled beneath Heaven's Eye. Some would wonder that I wished to have children, why would I enter into the Mansion of Inifite Shadows? Do they know of the soul-wrenching pain that filled my heart whenever I looked upon the countless children of my subjects?

'A band of those miserable wretches whom I rule over came to my palace again today. They were demanding that I remove myself from the throne. Ingrateful peons! Have I not kept the Empire whole, and safe? Are they not well-fed? The priests in the temples demand far more costlier sacrifices than I. The leaders, and the more handsome of the rabble-rousers were taken to my laboratory. The rest were dispatched in the Imperial Gardens. My rosebushes will feed well this week.

'Tonight, in my studies, I feel that I am very close in achieving the creation of true life. All of the subjects haved died. But, they lived for one whole hour longer than last year's subjects...'

26 Aug 2003	Lisa Eshkenazi	Loading... Coool. With most of your art, it doesn't make a difference to me if it's colored or not because they're nice and creepy either way. But this one definitely is much creepier in color. Especially with that background. Bloooood. At least it looks like blood anyhow. I like. Stanton F. Fink replies: "Blood...
