SciFi and Fantasy Art: Injasura Ahabhakarna

The Injasura are 12 beasts of unimaginable power. According to legend, they seal a gate that leads to the realm of the Daityas. In order to forbid mortals from entering this place, and the Daityas from entering our world, the Gods used the lifeforces of the Injasura to bar the gate. It is said that each of them draws strength from one of 12 sacred stars.

Ahabhakarna, The Mystery, is the 5th Injasura. It draws its strength from the star Mirhaba. It dwells within the eldest tree in the Forest of Infinite Shadows. Countless are those who have encountered it, few are those who survive encountering it.

For example, I never would have thought necessarily that it would have a bark & moss-like epidermis, even though the textures are there. Nicely done...<P>And of course, to the artist... kudos Stanton. Another bizarre masterpiece.
