SciFi and Fantasy Art: Injasura Ahabhapraya

The Injasura are 12 beasts of unimaginable power. According to legend, they seal a gate that leads to the realm of the Daityas. In order to forbid mortals from entering this place, and the Daityas from entering our world, the Gods used the lifeforces of the Injasura to bar the gate. It is said that each of them draws strength from one of 12 sacred stars.

Ahabhapraya, The Heart-Binder, is the 4th Injasura. She draws her strength from the star, Zurga Nekon. She is said to dwell in the bright blue waters of the Far South. There, she sings her song to draw out the hearts and souls of sailors so that she can somehow salve the ache which dwells within her own heart and soul.

So, she is somewhat like, and entirely unlike, a siren?
