| 22 Jan 2003 | Jonathan Franz | Reminds me somehow of a hellbender salamander. I really really impressive one. | |
| 24 Jan 2003 | Lisa Ann Eshkenazi | I always liked this one, now even more than before. I always pictured him blue--it's nice to see we agreed on at least one thing (even if we didn't know we were agreeing at the time). Like all of your work, it's wonderful. Stanton F. Fink replies: "THe original was blue, too, so I wanted to retain the color scheme." | |
| 25 Jan 2003 | Zachariah Campbell | Ditto my comments on the colour. Not sure if it suits here... though it may just be the combination of the strong, graphic, computer-slick background overpowers the image (which is great BTW). I'm thinking, strangely enough, that the image will be more balanced on these whale-gods if: the colour stays and the background goes back to white OR the opposite... if the image stays B&W, it will be very strong and graphic agains this background I suspect. Not to sound too negative. I love the creature. The excerpt in the description makes me think of whale songs... unholy, terrifying whale songs... Stanton F. Fink replies: "I think I'll first try to retweak the brightness/contrast of Lewyiatan in Photoshop first, or otherwise, I'll try recoloring him." | |
