SciFi and Fantasy Art: Good for Posing

The shape-shifting djinni, Bartimaeus, as he used to appear in Alexandria around 125 B.C. He sometimes takes on a similar form nowadays, but without the mane. "Manes are very overrated," he says, "okay, they're good for posing, but they block out all your side vision in battle." (-Jonathan Stroud, The Bartimaeus Trilogy Book 3: Ptolemy's Gate)
But I wanted to draw the mane.

16 Apr 2006	I miss Queazle	Loading... Only the great Bartimaeus could make the lion's whisker's so authentically crinkly! Bartimaeus would think this a fairly good depiction of himself- for a human artist. There really isn't enough Bartimaeus fan art in these woods...
21 Jun 2006	Yemaya	Loading... I love that smirk! It is so perfect! So Bartimaeus, but somehow it looks natural on a lions mouth. He has that evil little glint in his eye as well. Agreeing with the others here as well, he looks very strokable. Love the mane.
