| 9 Apr 2002 | Metamorphosis | Frederic, you have sooo much potential. It's crazy. All you need to do is work on your techniques a little. Your ideas are beautiful and inspirational, but there is no depth in the way they are expressed. Add some dimension to your work. Try a lot of contrasts in color, shade, or subject matter (like your one with the heart and the good and evil stuff). Color would be a great addition. Doesn't matter if you don't know how to do it yet, just have fun and see where it takes you. Shading also needs to stand out more. That's the problem, it just hit me. You have these great ideas and they just don't capture the viewer's eye. The pictures are beautiful, but they need to be enhanced greatly with color, detail, shading, contrast....work on it. It may take a long time, but you can do it, I'm sure. Take time and have a LOT of patience with each picture, work with it, shape it, mold it, and smooth it all out. The sketching is just the first step for most pictures. Good luck. God's peace be with you. p.s. I love the half face of you at the top. The drawing is an awesome representation of the picture in a more unrealistic form. Keep it up! | |
