SciFi and Fantasy Art: Maibh Nouveau [Progress]

Meredith Perry's elfin mage type, the ever-loved Maibh. I too was enchanted, and thus inspired to create a Maibh of my own. The copyright proper belongs to Meredith, of course.

I've begun coloring it, but am still not sure how to finish the background. I'm thinking green and maybe some yellow/gold on the border-ish things.

September 2002. Black ink and Prismacolors on sketch paper.

25 September: More color! I still want to work on the green background, perhaps add a pattern to it. Also still deciding on whether to color the edges.

Perhaps her right hand should be a little bigger though. Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "I'm a big fan of art nouveau too, though it seems to me every time I try to do something in the art nouveau style there is something a little off. I'm glad you enjoy it in any case. Her right hand probably should be bigger. shrug"

3 Jul 2007	Anonymous	Loading... I think if you worked longer and harder on this piece you could have made it, with more details, a very beautiful piece of art work. Her outfit, her hair, her in general could be much more detailed and complicated.
