SciFi and Fantasy Art: Kirin Queen [Preliminary]

This is meant to represent my avatar and capture some elements of Art Nouveau, one of my favorite styles. (As you can see from my numerous attempts to do it in this gallery.) I am totally stuck on what to do with the colors from here.

Prismacolors and black ink on 9 in. x 12 in. sketch paper.

this is amazing! to me it looks like Galadriel riding her mystical kirin through the Undying Lands....of course i'm a total LOTR freak! so that's just me.

I love it, especially the Kirin...About the colors; try pastels. I could see the stars as being a light, maybe canary yellow.....the background as either a pale peach-ish color or pale pale green....or both...that would be cool...yeah...background peachy and the swirly doos that green color...I would look AWESOME!!! oh wait...it already is awesome... 12
