SciFi and Fantasy Art: Angelic shame

Molting his pure white, gold shafted feathers and having them grow back black and silver is the punishment for his betrayal, along with banishment. Other worse offenses could lead to dismembering the wings altogether. During his molting he cannot fly, and he yearns for the sky. His shame is a permanent mark on his soul now. Now and forever he is one of the fallen, a dark angel.
