SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Graveyard Shift or Dearly Departed, but with a Return Ticket

Four zombies. From left to right, Gulf Razmusson, Carl Blasnovotch, Yagno Slokovitch, and Petrie Dokoshki. Guide to pronunciation is in the picture itself. Whatever. Their story is rather silly. Carl and Yagno are brothers-in-law, and they and Gulf have been the best of friends since childhood. Petrie is Yagno's nephew. Anyway, somehow or other, the three friends ended up confronting an evil wizard. The wizard blew them away, but Yagno vowed that anyone the wizard killed would come back every night until they got their revenge. A few days later, the wizard killed Petrie, and got nixed by the local militia. This left the four of them with no way to fullfill Yagno's oath, so they are all pretty fed up with the whole 'being undead' thing. They actually have fairly active social lives, because everyone in town knows who they are and what happened to them.

hehe, with the stories you tell I can't wait for you to be in the library. Gulf, the brown dude there, looks especially ticked off, lol 2Well, to be totally honest, that's Carl. Gulf is the hand on the left. And being the oldest of the four, Carl tends to be a little more curmudgeony. Petrie is still enjoying the advantage undeath gives him in rugby. He feels no pain, has a literal death-grip on the ball, and with all the stinky athletes around, nobody can even smell him.

Great story! Even though their expressive skills are probably limited by their being undead and all, I really do see personalities in the expressions you've given them.Aw, shucks. It warn't nuthin'.

heh heh I love that story . . . *sigh* since they have an active social life, I guess I couldn't get a date, huh?Well, actually, Petrie is about your age, and he's very much single. He's a really sweet guy, just remember to stand upwind of him.

Poor fellows. The local vigilantes should really start paying more attention to the facts when they are racing around, lynching people and other somewhat life-threatening what-not's. On the other hand, I think this picture is rich - it made me laugh. tehehehe.. I live about a block and a half from a graveyard, and tend to walk past it on my strolls at night. I think, if I saw something like this happening whilst I was out, I'd simply die. And then I'd be doing the same thing to others, scaring them lifeless - or at least comatose.Vigilante-ism as a career has about the same retirement benefits as evil guardian beast-ism.

And who knows? Maybe if you showed up while you were still fresh you could work out the same kind of deal as these four have. They're allowed to all the parties (the ones at night, anyway), but they have to stand downwind and the host has to tie up the dog before they get there.
