My name is Christian Strobl (28 years old) but on the web I'm better known as Artimidor Federkiel. I'm an Austrian writer, poet, webmaster, artist especially in the field of fantasy and can't think of a minute when I'm not doing something productive. Here is some artwork I've done by myself. Let me tell the story how these drawings came to life: Some time ago I've started an enormous fantasy project on the web by gathering several people from all over the world who would like to help me in creating the fantasy world on which my texts/novels are based. We do a lot of things to design the world as authentic as possible in the style of Tolkien: We create several different languages, write stories, concept cosmology and history, have a detailed compendium, a role playing section - and we also draw maps and pictures (beasts, landscapes, portraits etc.) especially for the Santharian cause. The grayscale images you can see below are some of my own work which I've all drawn manually with Adobe Photoshop - hope you like them. - By now many people have already joined the 'Santharian Dream' and its endeavour: artists, writers, idea providers... - and Santharia is growing constantly. I have some basic outlines, but I'd like to flesh them out, as it were. If you are interested in doing a map of it, contact me. I'd love to have you do it! That way I don't have to! ~ Christian (Artimidor) Strobl replies: "Just a general note: The maps you see here on Elfwood are old works, it's just conincidence that the automatic decision to pick an Artist of the Day fell on me. Because due to the new policies of Elfwood maps aren't considered art and new versions and new maps were rejected by the moderators, so I basically quit with Elfwood.
