SciFi and Fantasy Art: Griffon

Never get near a griffon nest. You won't be pretty when the griffon is done with you. As this poor unlucky soul is about to learn. First real attempt at drawing a griffon. More or less a slightly detailed sketch. Any ideas on how to make the griffon look better would be welcome and appreciated.

23 Feb 2000	Sarah Hebblethwaite	Loading... Hehe, I really like this! ^_^ That griffon looks really ticked off. The only advice that I'd offer is in the wings.. You might want to add some more feathers..They look a little bit hairy right now. ^_^ Also, the feathers should connect to the sides of the griffon's body instead of just the bone they're connecting to now.
30 Apr 2000	Goldenrod	Loading... It's really good. My advice would be to make the beak look a bit less like a furby's and make the wings look like bird wings instead of odd dragon like wings.

This picture isnt bad, could use a little work, it seems as the griffons not even looking at th person, the beak needs to be less "furby" like and the wing should be more bird like,also the griffon should have bigger claws and you should work on the tail otherwise i like it! ^_^ !!!!!

20 Dec 2001	Alex White	Loading... Um Jake...have you ever seen a griffon? Thats what I thought. They could have thirty thousend eyes if Justin wanted him/her to. Also I like the idea of eggs vs. live young. I always assumed they gave birth to live young. But of couse every on has their own image of themm.

28 May 2002	Dragon Moon	Loading... I love drawing griffons. I think that you need to add more detil to the wings, ya know, make them more feathery, and make his front legs a itte longer with longer talons. Otherwise it is a real good attempt
2 Feb 2003	Anonymous	Loading... I love this picture! Some things you may want to work on is the beak, wings, and griffon's pose. The legs look kind of weird to me.
