| 27 Apr 2004 | ElenaTheWarrior | I disagree with the TPAMs, I think the breasts are perfect--can you imagine how impractical a d-cup would be on a creature that flies around naked? I think she's beautiful. THe ears and eyes are captivating, and I love the hands, Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "THANK YOU. Gah." | |
| 17 May 2004 | Algernon | One of those pieces where we wonder, "what's going through her head?" The expression on her face, her posture, the expression of her hair and ears; is she mourning or contemplating? what is her story? | |
| 14 Jun 2004 | Brianna 'Piratenites' Metcalf | nice! I love her hair! Her leg is a bit skinny towards the ankle..... She seems to have an anime influence, neh? great shading! Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "Does "neh" mean "no"? Neh, then.I intentionally gave her proportions unlike those of a human, because I wanted to make her more than just a human woman with wings stuck on, I really wanted to make her a completely different being. Thanks for the compliment on the shading, I rather like it myself!" | |
| 17 Jun 2004 | Brianna 'Piratenites' Metcalf | A noble goal, to make her less-then-human....after all, it is fantasy! Actually, I thought her face looked anime-ish, because of the pointy chin. Guess m'eyeses are going!! Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "Well, yeah, it does have its similarities I suppose. But they're not intentional. And I wouldn't say "less-than-human", necessarily; more "other-than-human"." | |
| 26 Jun 2004 | Angelina F. Baroffio | I think the only reason anybody said anything about her chest is because there isn't much defining shadow and her ahem *nipple* are located a little lower than they should be, and are kinda close in semblance to prunes just stuck on there. But that's my personal opinion. I'm big into shading. Her wings are fabulous though... I have a card with some Amy Brown stuff on it and it really is very similar. Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "Would you not agree, however, that you're basing what things "should" be on a non-human creature, based on human proportions?" | |
| 2 Aug 2004 | Chrystal <chrystal_kichard@hot...com> | Please do draw more faeries! I absolutely love your styles.. Keep it up Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "Awwww! Thank you. I needed that. And for you, I'll get on it." | |
| 14 Oct 2004 | Anonymous | I think that her chest adds to her solemn "sunken in" feeling. I've always thought of faeries as a little more skinny and twiggy rather than vuluptuous! Whether thats what you were going for or not I donno. But the chest works as far as I'm concerned! Laura J. Sullivan Foster replies: "Yeah, I guess I was. Like someone said previously, it wouldn't be practical for a flying creature to be weighted down with big gazongas." | |
| 26 Nov 2004 | Angels wing | Um, its beautiful, but...Is it just me or does she have two right feet? | |
| 22 Jan 2005 | Marcela | I like it very much, I think it is perfect the way it is. Love your work specially dragons... | |
