| 25 Apr 2002 | Yuki Hoshi | Tenshi means heven and earth. And I got that right off of the anime "Tenshi Universe".   Suzanne Elizabeth Blesch replies: "Um... are you sure you don't mean TENCHI universe? Because the kanji for "Tenshi" is "ten" (heaven) and "shi", the chinese reading of "tsukau" (to help). So basically "Tenshi" means heavenly help. While the "Ten" in Tenchi is the same, the "Chi" means earth. And unless I've been living under a rock there's no anime called "Tenshi Universe..." Don't worry, everyone makes this mistake. I was at a con once and I was like, "Hey! Tenshi ni Narumon!" (great anime) and these guys behind me went, "TENCHI??? WHERE???" It was great." | |
