SciFi and Fantasy Art: Narses

He is an on-line RPing character of mine, and my first try on using colored pencils... not very successful, eh?
And, well *sighs* the leopard-fur on his shoulders does not look like a leopard at all... :(

I think you did well for your first attempt. Don't worry about the leopard skin. At least the average viewer (like me) can tell it's an animal skin. The only problem I saw with the leopard is the head... it looks a bit more canine than feline.

well, exactly that is my probelm.. it look -totally- different from a leopard... leopards tend to be not at all canine 8

I think you did a great job coloring 1 Having drawings with darker skin tones makes having the features show through are really hard. Hum red boots with an earth tone outfit....it might work.

Hey, I love his armor, the fur is great, and the colors you chose fit perfectly2

A wonderful first attempt. (Better than mine, I might add) The leopard looks canine because it's nose is too long and wide. Cats have little faces. (Don't feel bad... my cats looked like chihuahuas forever.
