Another day passes and more creatures boil forth through the three ring gates, some fair, some foul, some difficult to classify. It is interesting to note that all those coming from the foam seem to have a different idea of where the ground is - for the hound the water is deep enough to swim, the sow trots hight in the waves while the riding fish hovers above.
This, as with many of my graphite pieces: is completely spontaneous. There is no sketching or preconcept. I cover the page in a fine layer of pencil then pick out shapes until the picture becomes apparent. Usually a name or story follows but in this case I am still baffled.
