SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ravhel

Ravhel Trez’in is rather a nasty piece of work.
I bet his mother's proud of him.
He's the son of the weaponsmaster (soon to be weaponsmaster) of house Bel'elve, fifth house of Zildalaun.
In other words yes, he is a drow elf (every gallery should have one!) but I lightened the picture and he’s been left looking rather grey :P

Drawn by hand, coloured in Photoshop. Just a simple, boring character portrait.
Um, bleh. It's rather squiffy. But it's the end of the holidays and I've run out of time to sort it out now ><
I'll probably take this down soon.

I have full admiration for anyone who can colour in Photoshop properly. My colouring is done without layers because I just can't get the layer function to WORK! *sobs* I've looked at tutorials and EVERYTHING. Anyway, great expression on this guy. He looks like he's just overheard a piece of information that will be stored away for punishment of the gossip-monger later. Heh.Thank you very much ^^ I'm glad you like his expression (it was mostly accidental 10) I only use layers myself because it makes it easier to undo mistakes 10 And heck, your colouring is brilliant without!

Nah, I wouldn't take it down.
Lol, if you trusted the computer enough you could do it dark then lighten it.
Whenever I do light drawings my Dad always walks in on me drawing on the floor looking up at the screen. (Which looks about 5 inches tall from down there) trying to see it a bit darker.Haha, I do the same - I draw on my laptop so I always fold the screen flat to the desk 10

Yes, I agree the nose is odd, so's the mouth, a bit of shading under the bottom lip would sort it out though 2
Must have been hard doing the gray hair....I coloured in my Albino character the other day and ended up stabbing the computer then shoving dynamite in the fan...after it chopped my finger off of course....You're right - there's a lot odd about this one. I probably ought to take it down... And I agree - hair that pale is not much fun 10

It's the expression that does it for me. Mebbe if you gave it a different color backdrop you wouldn't have that hair blend in to the back white, but other than that, its a very nice picture. Plus, i have this growing thing for Drows. ~smiles softly~ It just carries a personality in his expression that makes you want to give him a self assured hug.
