SciFi and Fantasy Art: Waiting

The Ely are a nomadic race - They take a planet, dry up its resources and move on to another.
This one looks out over his dying earth, conquered millenia ago and now in its death throes. He, and thousands like him, await word from their brothers who have been sent to occupy a new planet, countless light-years away.

This started off as something completely different. I just wanted to play with silhouettes.
I've never tried to do a background like this before and I rushed it all off in a few hours one night, so be nice.
