SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gargoyle Asleep

Did this a loong time ago... Gargoyle in stone sleep (a la Disney Gargoyles). That gargoyle is actually a pewter figurine, about 1 1/2' tall. The photo was taken in the park in uptown Manhattan, where the Cloisters museum is. Dunno why I put in the butterflies... adds more of a fantasy feel to it, I guess.

HEY! darnit people, why are there no comments?? Well, I'd be honored to be the first. *Does the first comment dance* Anyway, this pic is the first one that caught my eye, and it isn't a Monet (good from far away, icky up close). I love the use of colors, and the textures and just the overall composition. Great job!

I have no soft spot for photomanipulation, but I do like this one. Tricks the eye, this.

OH! The setting is wonderful! The seasonal theme works well with the "stone sleep"; i.e. transition from autumn to winter.

You picked a really good place to take the picture. ^.^ and yeah, the butterflies do give a more fantasyish feeling. Besides, they're what caught my eye. :14ats butterflies::

This is beautiful! I really love some graphic arts, the only i see you can do here would be to make that gargoyle stand outmore...It falls in with the backround too much. Perhaps more contrast on it?
